  35. The disk provided with this application note contains IMPORT.EXE, a
  36. replacement for the IMPORT.EXE file that is included with Microsoft
  37. Mail for PC Networks version 3.0. The replacement file adds the
  38. ability to import gateway FFAPI-type addresses and includes some minor
  39. changes in the way gateway names are included in the directory-
  40. synchronization process.

  42. To Update Your IMPORT.EXE File
  43. ------------------------------

  45. 1. Insert the enclosed WA0643 disk in your floppy disk drive.
  46.  
  47. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER
  48.  
  49.       copy <drive>:\import.exe <destination>
  50.  
  51.    where <drive> is the floppy disk drive containing the WA0643 disk
  52.    and <destination> is the drive and directory where your IMPORT.EXE
  53.    file currently resides. For example, if IMPORT.EXE is located in
  54.    the MAILEXE directory on drive C and the WA0643 disk is in drive A,
  55.    type the following command:

  57.       copy a:\import.exe c:\mailexe
  58.  
  59.    A message will be displayed stating: "1 file(s) copied" (without
  60.    the quotation marks). This indicates that your IMPORT.EXE file has
  61.    been successfully replaced.
  62.  
  63.     NOTE: IMPORT.EXE typically resides on the postoffice server in the
  64.     Mail executables directory as well as on the machine importing
  65.     addresses into the database. Make sure you update all copies of
  66.     IMPORT.EXE.
